Irrational Games closing the doors - or - most awesome game upcoming

It was as S.H.O.D.A.N itself was speaking to the community. As to read on several gaming news sites there will be no further development on the awesome System Shock and Bioshock series under the actual circumstances. This might sound like a doom call for the fans - but there is hope. The Irrational Games team (belonging to Take 2 Interactive) team is not just closing and spreading over the gaming market...

As told on heise.de  the team plans to regroup in a smaller constellation. What does that mean exactly? Who knows... My guess: getting rid of some unwanted managers who try to take bad influence on the work of the team. As I know from some befriended game developers the pressure inside the game development community is growing bigger and bigger. Re-skinning and continuation on the fly is the harsh tone from management. Why? Because it works. Same reasons why the tv programm is getting worse and worse. Because it works... Cheap, fast and one can do it as long as someone buys it. And as long there is nothing better... one WILL buy it. Nevermind...

And so there is a chance for an even more astonishing and utopian game upcoming. Maybe the team doesn't want to take the pressure from above anymore and just needs some time to develop the most awesome game of all times! No? Yes!
